Dr. Schales is committed to providing an integrative approach to primary care medicine and believes in collaborating with other health care providers to achieve the best patient care. She combines information from current scientific research and medical journals with naturopathic philosophies to help create a positive impact on health, both for the individual and for the community. Her ultimate goal is to work to uncover the underlying cause of illness, rather than simply eliminate the symptoms. She uses a wealth of modalities in her treatments that include nutritional and lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, acupuncture, physical medicine, and conventional pharmaceuticals.

About Dr. Brook Schales
Dr. Brook Schales is a licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist. She attended medical school at the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM), now the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), in Portland, Oregon. There, she completed an intensive six-year doctoral program to receive her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, Master of Acupuncture, and Naturopathic Obstetrics Certificate. She practices general family medicine with an emphasis on women’s health, pediatrics, fertility support, adjunctive oncology support, as well as adrenal and thyroid health.
Dr. Schales completed a prestigious clinical mentorship in gynecology, adrenal and hormone regulation, and comprehensive thyroid care, as well as a classical Chinese medicine mentorship that focused on women’s health and pediatrics. Additionally, she was selected for a rigorous one–year obstetrics internship in women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, naturopathic obstetrics, postpartum care, and pediatrics. Before attending NCNM, she graduated with honors from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in biopsychology. She received her massage therapy degree from Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, Washington where she concentrated on Swedish, Lomi Lomi, Prenatal, and Injury Treatment massage, as well as Reiki and Aromatherapy.
