I don't know about you, but when spring hits I get the biggest hankering for fresh fruit and veggie smoothies! One of my favorite smoothie recipes is a little something that I call the Triple Greens Citrus Smoothie. This smoothie combines fresh apples and greens, along with citrus juices and a touch of ginger, for a perfect explosion of sweet, spicy, and tart flavors.
- 1 green apple, cored and sliced
- 2 cups of spinach and/or kale leaves
- 1 small handful of cilantro
- 1-2 tsp of ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup of orange juice
- Juice from 1/2 a lime
- 1/2 cup of coconut or filtered water
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Add additional water if the consistency is too thick or if the smoothie is too tart. Enjoy!
